About the Role

HUB International is looking for a highly motivated, hands-on candidate that will be responsible for evaluating and migrating cloud-based solution architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP brought to Hub International through Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). This role involves working closely with Cloud Service Providers to resolve issues, assisting in the design of cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities also include creating custom application images, automating configurations, contributing to security audits, providing technical support, troubleshooting with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct cloud solution assessments and implement cloud-based Architectures on AWS, Azure, OCI or GCP considering scalability, security, reliability, and performance.

• Coordinate with CSP support to escalate and track issues to resolution.

• Analyze cloud systems and performance to recommend improvements and participate in research projects to optimize our cloud environment.

• OS & Application Customer Image design and development for our cloud infrastructure

• Produce, build, and implement automation for configuration of systems and applications.

• Assist with security and audit activities related to Cloud infrastructure.

• Provides technical and system engineering support for internal groups and customers.

• Assist cross functional teams in troubleshooting and problem identification.

• Evaluate and analyze systems, performance, issues, and metrics to provide recommendations for service improvements.

• Ability to understand virtual cloud architectures and layered application and database services with the ability to logically determine root cause of an issue.

• Participate in analytical studies, cost-benefit analyses, or other research including analyzing information systems requirements and environment projects.

• Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, topologies, and operational procedures.

• Stay updated with cloud trends, certifications, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• 4 -6 yrs. of Hands-on experience with cloud architecture, cloud solutioning, networking, security, compliance, migration patterns and tools.

• 4-6 yrs. of Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, including virtual networks, security groups, and identity management services.

• Ability to manage and ensure the successful completion of multiple technical tasks in assigned program(s).

• Experience with Jira and Confluence

• Experience with any of the following CSPs: AWS, Azure, Oracle, GCP

• Understanding of IP Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc.)

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Knowledge and understanding of how to leverage various services for computing, storage, database management, and networking.

• Proficiency in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and scripting.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment and show initiative to take on responsibilities.

• Decision making, research, and problem-solving skills.

• Time management with the ability to organize, assess, and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills

• Able to work harmoniously and effectively with others.

• Ability to adapt to quickly changing business conditions.

• Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.

• Willingness to grow and share his/her knowledge with others on the team.

Education :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

Although hybrid to Chicago is preferred, this position is open to remote candidates.

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $120K to $130K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
