Robert Half Manager of Investment Accounting in Dallas, Texas

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Fund Accounting Manager in the Real Estate & Property industry based out of Dallas, Texas. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing various accounting and financial functions including reporting, joint venture entity-level accounting, debt-related calculations, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the reporting process for Debt, JV, and other entities to ensure accurate reporting within established deadlines.

• Review all areas of JV entity-level accounting including capital calls, distributions, debt transactions, management fees, equity pick-ups, and other expenses.

• Prepare and review debt-related calculations and schedules including debt roll-forwards and reconciliations, recognition and amortization of deferred financing costs, and accounting for derivatives and swaps.

• Read, understand, and implement partnership and JV agreements, investment documents, entity structures, loan agreements, and interest rate swap agreements.

• Collaborate with both internal and external customers and stakeholders, such as JV partner representatives, other corporate departments, and Senior Leadership.

• Participate in various confidential projects including working with new entities or structures and reviewing draft and final documents and agreements.

• Assist in the budget process and provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end variance to budget analysis.

• Encourage team engagement and foster an environment for associate development.

• Establish, communicate, and train on new policies and procedures, and liaise with internal and external auditors while ensuring SOX and other compliance and reporting matters are maintained.

• Innovate processes to gain team efficiencies and comply with policies, procedures, and controls while bringing inconsistencies and problems to management’s attention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Must have a background in investment fund accounting

  • Real Estate exposure is preferred

  • Leadership experience
