Description If you want to work for an innovative Real Estate & Property company, Robert Half has an opportunity for you as a full-time Staff Accountant. A desire to rise to the challenge and the ability to manage multiple components are musts. If you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation, you might be right for this Staff Accountant position. To thrive in this role, you will need to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Responsibilities
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner Requirements - Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Recent and relevant accounting experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Strong attention to detail
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Microsoft Excel experience
