Aerotek Assembly Technician in Moline, Illinois

Summary:

Currently looking to hire mechanically inclined candidates to assist with the assembly of custom/special projects! This is an environment engaged exclusively in the design, manufacturing, and sale of lab instruments and apparatuses for purposes such as - testing of fuels, chemical reactors, and performing experiments that require heat and pressure. Job Description:

Will be performing mechanical and electrical assembly based on drawings, schematics, and CAD models in a prototype manufacturing environment. Duties include -

  • Mechanical alignment of parts in orderly detail resulting in a finished product.

  • Perform electrical tasks such as wiring, soldering, and testing electrical connections.

  • Abide by all associated assembly test procedures and documenting results.

  • Working based off verbal and written instructions.

  • Regularly utilizing hand/power/pneumatic tools, etc.

  • Communicating with other departments to ensure proper work flow

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience

  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics

  • Experience in using an assortment of hand tools (torque wrench, wire cutter, wire stripper, various electrical terminal crimpers, drills, electrical meters, etc)

  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • 1st shift, Monday - Friday

  • May require overtime and some Saturday's as necessary

  • $20-$25/hr, dependent on experience

  • WEEKLY pay + full benefits (medical/dental/vision)

  • 7% 401k/Pension match after 6 months
