ASM Global has an excellent and immediate opening for a Production Manager at Stage Red. This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all technical stage aspects which include, but are not limited to, electrics, audio, fly, crewing, logistics and preventive maintenance for all stage systems, personnel and equipment for licensees of the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares and distributes detailed production notes for each event and schedules production meetings with the venue’s department heads (including Operations, Production, Security, Food and Beverage, and Guest Services).

  • Serves as onsite representative during events, arriving at load in and remaining onsite through event load out.

  • Coordinate with licensee all pre-performance technical requirements.

  • Advance shows with licensee to identify labor needs, and then schedule local labor vendors.

  • Oversee load-ins, set ups, show runs and strikes for all shows to include civic events, Broadway style productions, private events and national concert tours.

  • Coordinate all backstage logistics for shows with local labor vendors.

  • Prepare and coordinate with the Venue Manager all “back of house” event information.

  • Prepare the event estimate and update the Venue Manager and event file with changes in the estimate.

  • Schedule and process invoices for local labor.

  • Design, implement, and supervise a preventative maintenance program for all light, sound and backstage equipment.

  • Recommend capital purchases or improvements to General Manager.

  • Oversee, set up, and strike all “front of house” A/V needs.

  • Provide for the training, safe working conditions and welfare of stage employees in accordance with ASM policies and applicable EEO and OSHA regulations.

  • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Must have attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Must have strong leadership, communication and organizational skills necessary for planning and directing coverage at events.

  • Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.

  • Must have the ability to train, plan, assign, and direct work and motivate local labor personnel and front of house personnel.

  • Understand and work from general instructions, specifications, blueprints, sketches and preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Must be able to prepare, analyze and operate within Department Budget.

  • Must have good computer skills.

    Education and/or Experience :

  • 4-year degree in Theater with technical emphasis or professional equivalence.

  • 3-year minimum experience working in a club, performing arts center, or theater.

  • Knowledge of operations, maintenance and stage management.

  • Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, state and other work environment and safety regulations.

  • Working knowledge of fire and public safety issues.

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and organizational ability.

  • Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.

  • Ability to work simultaneously with a broad variety of vested interest groups and to foster a cooperative environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices used in the successful management of entertainment facilities of a similar description.

  • Ability to anticipate problems and implement immediate corrective action.

  • Ability to perform effectively under significant pressure typically associated with meeting the demands and timetables of the entertainment industry.

  • Considerable knowledge of event solicitation and presentation, and event planning.

  • Considerable knowledge of safety regulations and other federal, state, or local laws and regulations.

  • Strong orientation towards hospitality/customer service for the events and entertainment industry.

  • Basic knowledge of facility operating standards, building maintenance, custodial, personnel and office management.

  • computers: this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of computers; knowledge of Spreadsheets and Word Processing and standard office equipment is helpful.

    Working Environment/Conditions :

  • High noise level.
